Just trying to add in a nice amount of prop planes, 1956 is the era where jets are new. P-51 & AD Skyraider were used in the Korean War.
But it could use more planes overall

but in 1956 air forces mostly had jets, because this was just after the Korean War where jets officially became the main kinds of aircraft. If it was 1950, that would be more realistic

Skyraiders were used in Vietnam, and the P-61 was still in service at the end of Korea, so those work. Spitfires, Mustangs and "Mules" were used by Israel up until the mid 60s, and the Bf-109 was used by Spain until then, so why doesn't this make sense?

I wasn't thinking outside of world superpowers, since it appears to be like the Belkan War where the aircraft were mostly the best at the time

Yf-22 is not the same as F-22, YF-22 is experimental, which would mean the early models didn't even carry weapons.

F-22 made its first flight in 1997

I know (I have Zero, it's my fav)but the F-22 was being developed at the time. If I remember correctly, it had its first flight a few years before, but entered production in the 2000s
